The Atomic Redster S9 FIS is a Downhill racing ski that is USSA Legal for the 2019-20 season. Woodcore construction with dual layer titanium laminates provides excellent stability and edge grip. This European race ski comes directly from Atomic's race factory in Austria.
World Cup skis created by Atomic are not available for purchase to the public. Only a limited number of these skis are available for World Cup racers only. When cutting base material, the experts know how to derive wood from the part of the tree that makes the fastest ski possible. Atomic currently only uses this base material in skis made for World Cup Athletes.
Meticulously maintained and groomed by a full-time professional ski technician, these race ready skis have been handworked and professionally tuned by Podium Ski Service in Park City, Utah. These skis have been through a hundred plus wax cycles and also baked in hot boxes, the best method to condition ski bases, taking the place of 20 full wax cycles for maximum base penetration, all before the skis ever hit snow.
Built with titanium rods for stabilization, and doubledeck technology to keep the ski stiff and flexible at the same time, Doubledeck technology ensures rapid fire rebound in turns, making a super smooth ride. Titanium rods provide maximum torsional rigidity, with direct power from skier to ski. These are the fastest skis available because they are made ONLY for World Cup racers. These skis have been lightly used for one race season and were used by local Utah Ski racers Bella or Bronson Wright, pushing to make the World Cup circuit who have raced in the World Junior Championships in 2018 (Davos, Switzerland) or the PyeongChang Olympics 2018.
