Our Sandy location is our Utah Ski Gear retail shop and our Midvale location is our Utah Ski Gear Performance Center.
Our retail shop in Sandy is where we sell our $99 youth ski packages and $108 adult ski packages. If you’re looking for a ski package, a boot fitting, or ski rentals, stop by our Sandy location.
Our Midvale Performance Center is where we stock the largest variety of tuning supplies in the Salt Lake Valley. If you’re looking for specialty tuning equipment, heated accessories, or ski racing gear, stop by our Midvale location. We also host tuning clinics and events for the community at this location. Our Midvale location doubles as our online and shipping/receiving location, so oftentimes if you are viewing a product on our website it will be in stock at our Midvale Performance Center. Feel free to give us a call and we can check on the item you are interested in to tell you which location this item is stocked at.

Our retail shop is located at 600 E 9400 S in Sandy, Utah, right on the way to Alta and Snowbird. We accept appointments if you would like to outfit the whole family or receive a custom fitting, but an appointment is not required as we take walk-ins. Our Utah Ski Gear Performance Center is located at 7129 State St, Midvale, UT 84047. Please Note: We DO NOT sell ski packages, offer boot fitting services, or clothing here. This is the place to come for tuning equipment, race equipment, and high-end heated accessories.
No, we own the entire inventory. This allows us to inspect, tune and repair the skis we sell right here in our shop. By not having to pay out to consignors, it allows us to offer you better deals on the ski gear we sell. Most importantly we can then offer you a full refund if you are not happy for any reason. We do accept trade ins in exchange for store credit only. We cannot offer cash for trade ins. If you are trading in gear that is around 3 years old or newer, please bring a proof of purchase. We cannot accept new gear without a proof of purchase.
We accept skis and snowboards for tunes at both locations. Feel free to bring your equipment to whichever location is most convenient to you. Typically, our tunes/mounts have a 2-5 day turnaround time. However, this varies seasonally and during the holiday's tune turnaround times can be around 5-8 days due to business levels. When your equipment is completed, you will recive a text notification. Please note, we require payment at the time of drop off.

Instead, we are thrilled to offer brand new season rentals for the 23/ 24 season at very similar prices. During early-bird pricing rent from our brand-new fleet for the season starting at $99 for kids and $149 for adults.
We still offer our signature selection of high-quality used gear at great prices in addition to our growing selection of new equipment. As always, we will honor our package promise of 10% off when buying skis and boots together.

Both Esther and Travis, Owners of Utah SKI Gear have worked at Brighton as full time ski instructors with literally thousands of skiers over the years. We will always have far more used gear than what you see in stock, and we are happy to sell you what we have.
In some cases, we can sell just the components however it does depend on the items condition and a tuning fee may be applied.
For new inventory, if we carry that brand but not the product you are looking for, there is a good chance we can get it for you.
Yes, we now offer daily ski and snowboard rentals for $24/day for adults, and $15/day for children. We also offer demo ski rentals starting at $40 a day. Premium demos start at $50. If you like a ski you are demoing, you can apply up to three demo days toward the purchase of your new ski, for a total savings of $150!
Day rentals normally begin when the ski season does, so look for a link at the top of the page near appointments. With your fast and easy online rental system, you are in the door and out on the slopes quickly!

We offer a full and complete refund! Travis and Esther are both ski instructors and have spent a lot of time on the hill looking at skiers of all ages and abilities and their equipment. We do our best to match people up with ski gear that will work well for them. We want people to love skiing as much as we do so we encourage you to bring your equipment back if it doesn’t work for you.
We cannot offer a full refund for every single return, as it is dependent on the condition of the gear and the situation. Please see our return policy for guidelines and note that we will always do our best to accommodate our customers when we can.
