At Utah SKI Gear, we work as a team, so flexibility is a must. But most folks will focus in one department:

Online: Our online staff help sell and fulfill orders online via our website as well as multiple online selling channels. If you have online or analytical skills, this is for you.

In Shop: Our retail shop staff work directly with customers throughout the ski season, recommending ski and board gear, fit boots, and other fun stuff.

Tuning: Our tuning staff help ensure our customers have a safe and fun experience on the hill. If you are comfortable with tools and mechanics, can work quickly and efficiently, and want to help people enjoy their time on the hill, this position is for you.

OPEN POSITION(S):

Online Sales & Marketing Team Member

The online team manages our growing sales online for our site: utahskigear.com. 

This includes providing customer service over the phone and via email, helping to increase online sales with internet marketing/SEO, packing and shipping orders, and uploading product listings for new and used skiing and snowboarding gear.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Articulate & awesome with spreadsheets
  • An advanced level skier or rider
  • Willing to learn and grow in the ski and snowboard industry
  • Able to collaborate and work well with a team

This is a fun and rewarding job for the right person!

Duties Include:

  • Uploading inventory to our website
  • Writing accurate and SEO-optimized product descriptions
  • Integrating products to eBay and other sales channels

Retail Sales Associates: (Full Time Year Round, and Part Time Seasonal)

We are looking for FT/PT year round and seasonal sales associates. Your duties would be to assist customers with questions they may have about skis, boards, boots, etc. Knowledge of skis and snowboards is a plus. You must be a team player and thrive on catering to varied clientele. We service everyone from families to powder hounds, so your ability to adapt to different situations is absolutely necessary. Count on being busy in our fast-paced environment.
This job requires basic computer skills and excellent customer service. You will be responsible for light housekeeping and taking inventory as well. You must be able and willing to work Saturdays.

Sample Positions we may be hiring for in 22/23 season starting summer and fall:

Online 3rd Party Channel Manager(1): (Full Time, Year Round) NEW for 22/23 season!

Overall objective:

Manage product listings, prepare shipments and coordinate inventory tasks to maximize sales and growth for Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) online channel.

Major Duties:

  1. Facilitate accurate product listings
  • Create new FBA listings
  • Resolve listing problems, as possible
  • Monitor existing listings for potential errors
  • Assist with accurate price and cost data
  1. Prepare warehouse shipments
  • Support and assist in receiving (including separation of) new stock received between channels
  • Optimize timing and levels of products sent to FBA warehouses including monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to provide maximum availability of FBA space, especially in early season
  • Accurately prepare FBA shipments as to counts, SUs and shipments following Amazon’s requirements and protect inventory by carefully packaging and preparing boxes
  • Supervising any additional help with shipment preparation
  • Supervising any additional help with shipment preparation which includes prepping shipments for SKU stickers/labeling and overseeing the other employees to ensure accurate shipments are created
  1. Coordinate inventory tasks
  • Provide accurate inventory counts by decrementing any stock pulled and verifying existing data
  • Support Inventory manager as needed to receive and physically handle and put away stock to keep inventory organized
  • Forecast and facilitate additional purchases based upon inventory needs and turns including monitoring FBA vs. available inventory to identify needs (shortages/overages)
  • Prepare additional orders to timely obtain additional stock

Skills and Qualifications

  • Attention to detail including accurate counting and recording
  • Strong ability to focus on potentially repetitive tasks
  • Basic analytical and computer skills (ERM (Seller Central) and MS & Google office/spreadsheet & email)

This is a full-time year-round management position.
Most shifts would be during normal business hours, but some weekends and evenings would be required, especially during our peak season from Thanking to the end of the Christmas break.

Retail Shop Positions:

Gear Handler: (Full Time Year Round, Full Time Seasonal, and Part Time Seasonal)

This is an entry level position with lots of room for growth in our tightly knit and rapidly growing company.

During the summer we get new and used gear that needs to be cleaned, priced, inventoried and put on display or added to stock for the fall and winter season. If you have always wanted to work in a ski and board shop, now is your chance to jump on board.

This can be a full or part time position depending on candidate needs.

Ideal candidate will have previous experience as a rental manager or assistant manager, but we would also consider someone with experience as a rental tech looking to advance.

Our growing ski business is gearing up for the winter and we are hiring customer service representatives. Candidates should have an even temperament, knowledge of skis, snowboards, and tuning equipment. Some training is provided, but the ideal candidate should have an inherent drive to help people get exactly what they need. Tuning Positions:

Tuning Manager and Assistant Tuning Manager (Full Time Year Round)

These positions will require you to make sure all skis are tuned to Utah Ski Gear's standards.
As a manager, you will be responsible for training and educating employees in our processes. You will need a functioning knowledge of how to use ski tuning machinery. You will also be called upon to perform scheduling maintenance, and keep track of inventory and supplies.
Prior ski tuning experience a must.
