At Utah SKI Gear, we work as a team, so flexibility is a must. Generally speaking, we hire employees into 3 main areas of our business:

Online: Our online staff help sell and fulfill orders online via our website as well as multiple online selling channels. If you have online or analytical skills, this is for you.

In Shop: Our retail shop staff work directly with customers throughout the ski season, recommending ski and board gear, fit boots, and other fun stuff.

Ski and Snowboard Tuning: Our tuning staff help ensure our customers have a safe and fun experience on the hill. If you are comfortable with tools and mechanics, can work quickly and efficiently, and want to help people enjoy their time on the hill, this position is for you.

Online Inventory Manager/Photographer: (Full Time, Year Round)

Requirements: 

Articulate & Awesome with Spreadsheets
Advanced level skier or rider with extensive knowledge of industry and product.
This is a fun and rewarding job for the right person!
We are looking for someone who excels at:

  • Managing inventory on an Excel Spreadsheet
  • Uploading inventory to our website
  • Writing accurate product descriptions
  • Adding products to eBay and other sales channels
  • Taking product photos

Requirements:

  • Proficient at Excel

Web Developer: (Full Time, Part Time or Contract)

Our main channel of business is online, and as such the health of our online sales channels is of the utmost importance. Utah Ski Gear is looking for a web developer who is comfortable handling all the elements of our website and e-commerce channels. Duties include:

  • Website design and coding
  • Maintaining recommended SQL database size for our hosted server
  • Maintaining the health and speed of our website
  • Updating Woo Commerce template files as updates roll out
  • Plugin customization
  • Troubleshooting issues as they arise

The ideal candidate has a strong background in PHP, Java, CSS, and is comfortable with SQL database interface, cPanel, AWS, WHM and dealing with 3rd party hosted servers. If you fit these requirements, don't hesitate to put your name in for consideration!

Online Marketer for utahskigear.com (Full Time)

You will be taking care of growing sales online for our site: utahskigear.com. This includes providing customer service, answering emails, helping to increase online sales with internet marketing/SEO, aiding our international expansion program, packing and shipping orders, and customer support.

Social Media Manager: (Full Time)

Our growing company needs a dedicated social media manager to create and maintain professional social media accounts for our retail ski business. The ideal candidate will have experience managing social media accounts for retail businesses that effectively and quantitatively produce a respectable ROI. Competency with photo content, written content and video content creation is a must. Please be prepared to provide samples of all three of these mediums when you apply for the position on our website. Ski or snowboard experience is a must. Retail Shop Positions:

Gear Handler: (Full Time Year Round, Full Time Seasonal, and Part Time Seasonal)

This is an entry level position with lots of room for growth in our tightly knit and rapidly growing company.

During the summer we get new and used gear that needs to be cleaned, priced, inventoried and put on display or added to stock for the fall and winter season. If you have always wanted to work in a ski and board shop, now is your chance to jump on board.

This can be a full or part time position depending on candidate needs.

For 2020/2021 Utah SKI Gear will again be offering a nice range of Demo performance skis and will be adding small and basic rentals to our offerings for the first time.

Ideal candidate will have previous experience as a rental manager or assistant manager, but we would also consider someone with experience as a rental tech looking to advance.

Sales Associates: (Full Time Year Round, and Part Time Seasonal)

We are looking for FT/PT year round and seasonal sales associates. Your duties would be to assist customers with questions they may have about skis, boards, boots, etc. Knowledge of skis and snowboards is a plus. You must be a team player and thrive on catering to varied clientele. We service everyone from families to powder hounds, so your ability to adapt to different situations is absolutely necessary. Count on being busy in our fast-paced environment.
This job requires basic computer skills and excellent customer service. You will be responsible for light housekeeping and taking inventory as well. You must be able and willing to work Saturdays.

Our growing ski business is gearing up for the winter and we are hiring customer service representatives. Candidates should have an even temperament, knowledge of skis, snowboards, and tuning equipment. You will be responsible for email correspondence and phone calls relating to customer orders from our website and other online shopping channels. Some training is provided, but the ideal candidate should have an inherent drive to help people get exactly what they need. Tuning Positions:

Tuning Manager and Assistant Tuning Manager (Full Time Year Round)

These positions will require you to make sure all skis are tuned to Utah Ski Gear's standards.
As a manager, you will be responsible for training and educating employees in our processes. You will need a functioning knowledge of how to use ski tuning machinery. You will also be called upon to perform scheduling maintenance, and keep track of inventory and supplies.
Prior ski tuning experience a must.
