These legendary 170cm Atomic Powder 8 Champion skis are one of the most popular powder skis ever made. These skis are truly a piece of history that can be re-mounted with your binding of choice and float through powder once again, or they would make beautiful vintage wall art or a classic shot ski.

Powder 8 competitions were first held at Jackson Hole in 1975 and judged on the skier duo that could make the most perfect figure 8s down an untouched run. This required skill, style, and luck. The first formal competition was held in 1980 in Blue River, BC, and two ski patrollers from Aspen, Colorado won the event. Powder 8 competitions became famous and were even the ground for the 1993 film, Aspen Extreme. “You’ve got to be able to ski anywhere, any time, in any conditions,”- Aspen Extreme. Throwback Powder 8 competitions still happen at resorts today.

Disclaimer of Warranties:

For previously owned and used skis and bindings:

  • Equipment is sold “as is”
  • The buyer assumes all risk as to the quality and performance of the equipment

Special Safety Notice for Bindings: We urge you to take your boots and bindings to a shop certified by the bindings manufacturer to have a function check. The majority of shops will charge for this service. Even though we may, by request, check to see if a binding should fit your boot sole length, such an adjustment and fit check does not verify that the bindings will release properly with your boot. Only a certified shop can do this, with the user's boots present.
