Utah Ski Gear offers a
Swapping out your binding to put on a different pair of skis? No matter which width of ski you're putting your 22 Designs Bandit binding on, we have the brakes for your needs.
In-between sizes on your particular skis? No need to fret.
Ideally, the brake width will be slightly wider than the waist width of your ski, but the two widths should be as close as possible. However, most brakes are designed to stretch about 8mm, so the brake width can also be slightly narrower than the ski's waist width.
On the flip side, you never want the brake width to be more than 12-15mm wider than the waist width of the ski. If there is too much overhang, brakes can get caught on your snow pants, hook onto each other, and cause unintended bending of the brakes, etc.
