Get the most out of your diamond stones with Sidecut's innovative Diamond Discs! With a precision machined backing, these diamond discs allow for accurate and efficient edge tuning. The disc shape utilizes all the diamond material, allowing an even wear pattern that lasts longer than the traditional rectangular shape.
When you have worn through the stone, you can easily remove the adhesive and apply a fresh diamond pattern to the disc.
These Diamond Discs were designed to fit on Sidecut Diamond guides. With Sidecuts Trigger Clamping system, they can also be used with Sidecut File Guides. For the best results, Sidecut recommends using the Sidecut polishing oil to improve tuning time and the longevity of the stone. Sidecut also recommends using two discs, one coarse disc (120 or 200) and one fine disc (400, 600, or 1000).
How to choose the correct disc:
- 120 & 200 grits: Used for sharpening, removing burrs, or for hardened edges and works for quickly resetting your edge angle without using a metal file
- 400 grit: Used for sharpening and polishing
- 600 grit: Used for fine polishing
- 1000 grit: Used to achieve an extra high polish and is ideal for competitive skiers to shave off hundredths of a second and enhance performance on hard-packed snow
