Utah Ski Gear offers a
Designed for you wild ski and snowboard surgeons looking to revive a pair of skis or boards that you truly love and refuse to lay to rest. This is the perfect DIY edge repair kit to get started! The steel edge is a hard material that will require a Dremel or other rotary tool to cut the edge to the length you need.
Included in the kit:
- One 12in steel edge from Winterstieger
- 10 small edge-specific screws from Wintersteiger
- One 3mm X 30cm (about 12in) of black metal grip from SVST (Do not light with a lighter or use in a repair gun)
- Double-Bubble very-high-strength epoxy
Oneball's high-strength epoxy will hold together just about anything that has separated. Great for base repair on skis and boards, this high-strength epoxy is flexible, tough, and durable and bonds to most surfaces. No solvents Flexible, tough, and durable.

- Edge will likely be thicker than the existing edge. Once repair is completed you can file down the replacement edge section to match the existing edge thickness. Be sure to use a side file guide with the appropriate angle to do this.
- Use a Dremel or similar rotary tool with a cutting wheel
- We only recommend this kit for experienced tuners and/or those with lots of skill when it comes to hands-on work. If you have any questions, please contact us! We’re happy to have one of our in-house tuners provide any additional information or tips!
